Puzzle Description

London Landmarks (G3402) is a 500 piece puzzle by Maria Rabinky. For all tourists who have been to London you will know that it is almost impossible to take in all the London landmarks on one trip, unless you spend a couple of weeks there. Of course, there are certain must visit sites such as Buckingham Palace and, not far away, Trafalgar Square with Admiral Nelson perched high above. Slightly north and west from Trafalgar Square is Piccadilly Circus with its statue of Eros in the middle. That statue has starred in many movies, ususally as a reference to the love interest in a film. All of these locations are usually packed with tourists. Unfortunately, for the foreseeable future, the tourists are few and far between. Many of the starring locations on the map will have somewhat restricted access but not included in the map are locations suc a Kew Gardens which are a short overground train ride away. London Transport have more than one way to get to Kew.

Kew Gardens is a botanical garden in southwest London that houses the "largest and most diverse botanical and mycological collections in the world". Founded in 1840, from the exotic garden at Kew Park in Middlesex its living collections includes some of the 27,000 taxa curated by Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, while the herbarium, which is one of the largest in the world, has over 8.5 million preserved plant and fungal specimens. The library contains more than 750,000 volumes, and the illustrations collection contains more than 175,000 prints and drawings of plants. It is one of London's top tourist attractions and is a World Heritage Site.

The Kew site, which has been dated as formally starting in 1759, though it can be traced back to the exotic garden at Kew Park, formed by Henry, Lord Capell of Tewkesbury, consists of 132 hectares (330 acres) of gardens and botanical glasshouses, four Grade I listed buildings, and 36 Grade II listed structures, all set in an internationally significant landscape.
