Christmas Puzzle 2021 Light up the Night
Puzzle Number: G2021
Puzzle Description
Light up the Night (G2021) is Tony Ryan's latest Christmas puzzle for the Gibsons puzzle catalogue. It measures 69 x 49 cms when complete and comes in a brilliant shiny gold box: a real collector's piece. Don't miss it.
Everyone is out and about doing their Christmas thing and right at the centre is the unusually delightful entreaty to give to local charities, but alas gentle puzzler, no Santa Claus in sight. Has Santa been a bad boy? Indeed to miss his own party, something is definitely amiss. It looks as though he might be in the jewel encrusted house on the right of the picture with all the revellers gawping. Could it be that Santa with excessive partying and eating last night as he visited all the boys and girls has simply overeaten and can't get out via his tried and trusted method, the chimney stack? Perhaps his understudy, the gruesome snowman on the right has been substituted for poor old Santa. I can't be sure but there might be a Dalek under the snowman's veneer of Christmas fluff. I hope not, after all just look at that jolly snowman bejewelled and with a scarf of rainbow colours. Who would possibly suspect Dr. Who's enemies intruding upon this merry scene?
All in all this is a very festive village scene with just enough snow to have a good old fashioned snowball fight but not enough to make going outside difficult. Just look at those two dachshund dogs in the lower left corner. How charming with their miniature antlers. Where's the candles? There are all sorts of Christmas trees covered in a sparkling variety of lights but they are definitely a more subdued collection; probably a deliberate tone. No doubt, face masks would have been a step too far. To misquote the irascible Ebenezer Scrooge, Merry Christmas one and all.
